Innova Captab stands as a comprehensive pharmaceutical firm based in India, spanning the entire spectrum of the pharmaceutical value chain. This includes engagement in research and development, the manufacturing process, distribution, as well as marketing and exports of pharmaceutical products. The company business includes (i) a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) business providing manufacturing services to Indian pharmaceutical companies, (ii) a domestic branded generics business, and (iii) an international branded generics business.
In the period concluding on 31 December 2021, Innova Captab boasted 164 CDMO customers. The company produces a wide-ranging portfolio of over 400 generic products, which are marketed under its proprietary brands within the Indian market. This is facilitated through an extensive network comprising around 3,400 distributors and stockists, along with an impressive presence in over 96,000 retail pharmacies. Innova Captab exported its branded generic products to 17 countries. As of 30 April 2022, the company has a dedicated team of 20 scientists and engineers operating at its research and development laboratory.
Innova Captab markets its domestic branded generic products through an extensive network of distributors, stockists, and pharmacies covering the entire Indian subcontinent. Additionally, these generic drug products are accessible online through various e-commerce pharmacy platforms. The sales of CDMO products have experienced remarkable growth, surging by 97.90% from 954 in Fiscal 2019 to 1,888 in the nine months concluding on 31 December 2021, on a restated consolidated basis.
The Objectives of the Issue
- Repayment and/or prepayment in part or in full, of certain outstanding loans of the Company;
- Investment in the Subsidiary, UML, for repayment and/or prepayment in part or full of outstanding loans availed by UML;
- Funding the working capital requirements;
- General corporate purposes.
